Monster Island is the title of The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster. It was released coincidentally around the same period as Godzilla King of the Monsters. Monster Island is a story about an island also known by Monster Island. It is where a monster can be seen, and who is also kind to the island, the Monster Island.


Because it is a film about asylums, the budget for this film is almost equal to the cost of a large kid’s meal. The film makes economic use by focusing on small numbers of characters and (Monster Island (2019) by Decker Shado) keeping the star-studded actors in one location so they can capture all of their scenes in one lunch break. However, lest we forget that this is a kaiju film, and well... that is sort of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it?
